The Colonial Revival Colonial Capitol (1934) in Colonial Williasmburg was modeled after the 1699 original building, the meeting place for the House of Burgesses of the Colony of Virginia from 1705 to 1779 when the capital was relocated from Williamsburg to Richmond.
